Free for HMO landlords
A free HMO compliance check
Tell us what your house share has in place. Josie reads it and sends back a short checklist of anything that looks missing or due.
- What we look at: the HMO licence and its expiry, the fire risk assessment, fire alarm servicing, gas safety, the electrical report, and whether you have the paperwork the council can ask for.
- What you get back: a short written list of gaps and dates to diarise, based on the rules in our HMO licence and HMO fire safety guides.
- What it costs: nothing, and you do not have to use us afterwards. If you would like us to manage the house, see our HMO management.
Most messages come straight to Josie, who runs day to day management.

About the check
Is the HMO compliance check really free?
Yes. There is no charge and no obligation to use North Point afterwards.
What will I get back?
A short written list of anything that looks missing, out of date or due soon, based on what you tell us and the rules in our HMO guides.
Do I need to be a North Point client?
No. Any landlord of a house share in Tameside or nearby can ask.
Does the check replace a fire risk assessment or a council inspection?
No. It points out gaps in your paperwork. A fire risk assessment must be done by a competent person, and the council makes its own decisions on licences.
What do you do with my details?
We use them only to answer you. Our privacy notice explains how we handle personal data.
